TITLE: A RESOLUTION CONCERNING THE ACQUISITION OF OPEN SPACE LAND
IN THE GENERAL VICINITY OF YOUNGFIELD AND WEST 29th AVENUE
ON A SHARE-COST BASIS WITH THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD AND JEFFER-
SON COUNTY.
W,EREAS, the City Council of the City of Wheat Ridge has deter-
mined that the acquisition of property in the general vicinity of Young-
field and West 29th Avenue for Open Space purposes is in the public
interest; and
WHEREAS, this property is located in the City of Lakewood
and the City Council of that City has established this acquisition as
a high priority item and desires to purchase the property on an equal
participation basis with the City of Wheat Ridge and Jefferson County,
State of Colorado, on an equal one-third share from Jefferson County
Open Space funds;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of Wheat Ridge, Colorado, that:
Section I. The acquisition of approximately eleven (11) acres
of land for Open Space and Park purposes located in the general vicin-
ity of Youngfield Street and West 29th Avenue is hereby declared to be
a high priority.
Section II. The City Council hereby declares its intent to
participate in the cost of the above referenced property in equal
one-third shares with the City of Lakewood and Jefferson County, State
of Colorado, from its attributable share of the Jefferson County Open
Space funds.
Section III. The staff is hereby directed to work closely
with the City of Lakewood officials to successfully culminate the
purchase of this property in the manner indicated in the foregoing
sections of this resolution.

A RESOLUTION
SETTING FORTH THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD'S PRIORITY FOR THE USE OF ITS ATTRIBUTABLE
SHARE OF THE JEFFERSON COUNTY OPEN SPACE FUNDS.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lakewood desires to set forth
its priority for the use of its attributable share of the Jefferson County
Open Space Fund;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Lakewood, Colorado, that:
SECTION 1. The acquisition of approximately eleven acres of land for
open space and park purposes located in the general vicinity of the inter-
section of Youngfield Street and West 29th Avenue, is declared to be of
high priority for the use of the City of Lakewood's attributable share of
the Jefferson County Open Space Funds.
SECTION 2. The City desires to purchase the above-referenced property
in equal participation with the City of Wheat Ridge, Colorado, and the County
of Jefferson, State of Colorado, each contributing one-third of the purchase
price from their attributable share of the Jefferson County Open Space Funds.
INTRODUCED, READ AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City Council
on September 22, 1975, at 7 o'clock p.m. at Lakewood City Hall, 1580 Yarrow
Street, Lakewood, Colorado.
