TITLE: A RESOLUTION CONCERNING AN INTERGOVERNMENT AGREEMENT
PROVIDING FOR THE SLOANS LAKE MASTER DRAINAGE STUDY
WHEREAS, an Intergovernmental Agreement between Urban Drainage
and Flood Control District, the City and County of Denver, the City of
Edgewater, the City of Lakewood, and the City of Wheat Ridge, has been
propused; and
WHEREAS, the purpose of the Intergovernmental Agreement is to
engage the Urban Drainage and Flood Control District to render certain
technical and professional advice and to compile information, evaluate,
study, and to recommend design solutions to certain drainage problems
for Major Drainageway Planning with respect to the Sloans Lake Drainage
Basin, and to develop a Master Drainage Plan therefor; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Wheat Ridge is of the
opinion that this agreement should be entered into at this time, and
that the cost to the City of Wheat Ridge will be approximately $3,025
and should be charged from Account No. 441.32;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of Wheat Ridge:
1. That the Mayor of the City of Wheat Ridge is hereby author-
ized and directed to negotiate and execute on behalf of the City of
Wheat Ridge an Intergovernmental Agreement for development of the Master
Drainage Plan for the Sloans Lake Drainage Basin with other municipal-
ities and the Urban Drainage and Flood Control District.
2. That the City of Wheat Ridge does hereby authorize the
expenditure of funds in an amount not to exceed $3,200 for the purpose
of funding its share of the cost of the development of the Master Drain-
age Plan which is the subject of the Intergovernmental Agreement.
