TITLE: RESOLUTION COMMENDING ALL CITY EMPLOYEES FOR THEIR
RECORD OF ACHIEVEMENT DURING 1976
WHEREAS, the City has experienced an outstanding year during
1976 in accomplishing many worthwhile projects for the betterment of
the community and its citizens; and
WHEREAS, some of these projects include over nine (9) miles
of street resurfacing, the completion of the Sod House and Historic
Park; substantial development of Prospect Park; the upgrading of the
Police patrol fleet and Police operations; the completion of a new
City Comprehensive Plan; the adoption of a Revised Sign Code; the
securing of 100% Federal funds for a new City Hall; the commencement
of a major pathway and bridge renovation project on W. 32nd Avenue;
and the construction of tennis courts and other recreational facilities;
and
WHEREAS, all of these projects have been accomplished on
schedule; and, despite these expenditures, the City has ended the
year in the strongest financial position in its history; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to publicly acknowledge and
congratulate the staff on its individual and collective efforts which
have helped make these achievements possible;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of Wheat Ridge that all employees of the City be hereby commended for
their diligent and conscientious efforts on behalf of the City; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council on behalf of
all citizens of the community extend to each and every employee sincere
wishes for a happy and successful New Year.

3rd day of January, A.D. 1977.
