TITLE: f<ESDLUTION E~JTABLISHINl~ A CITY-CHAt-mER OF cm~rvlEI;CE COOf1DW-
ATING COMMITTEE FOR THE PURPOSE OF IMPROVING COMMUNICATIONS,
UNDERSTANDING, ArJD COORDHJA TION WITtt RESPECT T[J MA TTEr(~) OF

lJ:I~EllEAS, the City des'ires to work cooperatively and more
effectively with the Wheat Ridge Chamber of Commerce in matters per-
taining to the City's overall development and economic progress; and
LJHEI\EAS, the Wheat fiidlJe Chamber of Commerce is currently
engaged in many activities which are directed tOluard the improvement
of the economic health of the City; and
WHEREAS, it is in the interest of the taxpayers that the
efforts of ttlle; City and the Wheat Ridge Chamber of Commerce be coordin-
ated and encouraged for the betterment of the City;
NOLJ, TllEREFDRE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Ci ty Counci 1 of the Ci ty
of Wheat Ridge that a City-Chamber of Commerce Coordinating CommitteE
is hereby established; and
LJE IT FmnHEFi RESOLVED THAT the Ll;!ctions and duties of the
Committee shall include cooperative efforts in the implementation of
the adopted Comprehensive Plan, joint efforts in preparing conceptual
ideas for tt,e City's overall [jevelopment, efforts to resolve conflicts
which may arise on matters of mutual concern, review and recommendations
to the City Council concerning land use, the accomplishment of the
adopten Parks and OpEm SpaCE! Plan of the Ci ty in UI8 manm,r wtlich l.uill
be acceptable to the entire community, and other related subjects; and
8E IT FURTHER RESDLVED THAT the membership of the City-Chamber
of Commerce Coordinating ~ommittee shall consist of one (1) m~ber of
the City Counci~ selected by the Mayor, three (3) members of the Chamber
of Commerce, who reside within the City of Wheat Ridge and who are se-
lected by the Board of Directors of the Chamber of Commerce, one (1)
member of the Planning Commission of the City selected by its Chairman,
and one (1) member of tt18 City staff designated by the City Administrator.
DE IT FURTHER FiE~lOLVED THAT the Ci ty--Chamber of Commerce CClDrdin-
atin] Committee shall b~ convened by the City Council member acting as
temporary chairman no later than thirty (30) days following the date o~
arlortion of this R~solution, and shall thereupon elect its own chairman
from ~ts members, an~ shall establish regular meetino dates which shall
be oren to the public.

one year following its effectivB date unless reinstated.
