Series of 1977
TITLE: RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF THE HART PROPERTY
LOCATED AT W. 27TH AND BENTON, IN WHEAT RIDGE, COLORADO,
TOGETHER WITH ALL IMPROVEMENTS THEREON, SUBJECT TO CONDITIONS.
WHEREAS, the City Council of Wheat Ridge has previously author-
ized the purchase of the Hart property located at W. 27th and Benton,
consisting of approximately 3.45 acres, plus improvements, from the
City's allocation of County Open Space Funds; and
WHEREAS, the owners of this property have agreed to a total sales
price of $200,000, and this price is acceptable to the City; and
WHEREAS, the property includes a small two-family residential
structure located at 2760-70 Chase Street, which is not eligible for
purchase from County Open Space Funds, and which has an appraised
value of $9,266;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Wheat Ridge that the purchase of the Hart property at W. 27th and
Benton Street be hereby authorized from County Open Space Funds at a
price not to exceed $200,000 subject to any sums that may be contri-
buted by the City of Edgewater;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT $9,266 be hereby authorized to be
paid from City funds as reimbursement to the County Open Space Fund
representing the value of the non-eligible two-family residential
structure located on the property; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the sum of $9,266 be disbursed from
the City's Capital Improvements Fund pursuant to Resolution;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Attorney is hereby authorized
and directed to proceed immediately to conclude this purchase under
the terms and conditions indicated in this Resolution.
