TITLE: RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF CONTRACTUAL AGREEMENT
BETWEEN THE CITY OF WHEAT RIDGE AND THE COLORADO STATE DEPARTMENT
OF HIGHWAYS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF A BIKE/PEDESTRIAN PATH ON
WEST 32nd AVENUE FROM MILLER STREET WEST.
WHEREAS, the City has applied f, ~ Federal-aid Urban System Funds
administered by the Colorado Departl~ent of Highways for the construction
of an eight-foot (8') bike/pedestrian path on the north side of West 32nd
Avenue from Miller St. west within the City of Wheat Ridge, the design of
which I'o'ill incorporate flexibility upon recommendation of representatives
of t~e rt3te Highway Department; and
WHEREAS, the City has been presented with a contractual document
prepared by the Colorado r)epartment of Highways under which Federal Grant
Funds will be allocated to the City for this project; and
WHEREAS, the City desires to have these improvements constructed
at this location in accordance with the provisions of the contractual
agreerlent; and
WHEREAS, City funds are available and budgeted to meet the required
City share of this project as required by the terms of the Grant;
NOvl, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the Ci ty of
Wheat Ridge that this project is hereby approved consistinq of $90,000 in
Federal-aid Urban System Funds and $10,000 in City funds for a total esti-
mated project cost of $100,000, and hereby authorizes the Mayor to execute
the Agree[llent;
BE IT FuoTHER RESOLVED that the disbursement of the City share lS
hereby authori zeu upon bi 11 i ng by the Colorado Department of Hi ghvlays
pursuant to the terms and conditions of the contractual agreement;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City's share for this project be
disbursed fr~m ~ccount No. 31-50~-856.
