TITLE: RESOLUTION ADOPTING AGREEMENT WITH JEFFERSON COUNTY HOUSING AUTHORITY
FOR THE PURCHASE OF EXISTING RESIDENTIAL DISPERSED UNITS.
WHEREAS, the Jefferson County Housing Authority has been designated as the
Local Housing Authority for the City of Wheat Ridge; and
WHEREAS, the Jefferson County Housing Authority has demonstrated the need
to acquire existing units in the City of ~Jheat Ridge for use as rental units under
the guidelines of the Department of Housing and Urban Development; and
WHEREAS, the Jefferson County Housing Authority presently administers
existing rental units in the City under the section 8 existing program and eleven
houses under the Rehabilitation Program, but does not have the ability to acquire
un its; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Wheat Ridge wishes to cooperate
with the Housing Authority in acquisition of rental units; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Wheat Ridge approved a motion to
adopt the Cooperation Agreement at their May 6, 1980 meeting.
NO\'}, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Wheat Ridge that the Cooperation Agreement between the Jefferson County Housing
Authority and the City of \~heat Ridge, dated May 7, 1980, is hereby adopted
by this Resolution.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this adoption of the Agreement is for the
intended purpose to obtain existing residential dispersed units, and that any
program developed to construct new units will be presented to the City Council for
review.
