Home My WebLink AboutResolution-1982-0797 RESOLUTION NO. 797 Series of 1982 TITLE: RESOLUTION RATIFYING THE TERMS OF, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE, A NON-EXCLUSIVE PERMIT BETWEEN THE CITY OF WHEAT RIDGE AND N1ERICAN CABLE VISION OF WHEAT RIDGE AUTHORIZING AMERICAN CABLE VISION OF WHEAT RIDGE TO CONSTRUCT, OPERATE, AND MAINTAIN A CABLE TELEVISION SYSTEM WITHIN THE CITY OF WHEAT RIDGE PURSUANT TO THE TEIDjS OF SAID PERMIT. WHEREAS, Chapter 21A of the Code of Laws of the City of Wheat Ridge authorizes the City Clerk to issue a non-exclusive permit for the operation, construction, and maintenance of a cable tele- vision system within the City of Wheat Ridge; WHEREAS, pursuant to said Chapter 21A bids from prospective permitees were accepted and analyzed, following which the City Council, acting upon the recommendation of a Cable Television Selection Team and professional consultants, recommended to the voters of the City of Wheat Ridge that such a permit be awarded to American Cable Vision of IV-heat Ridge; WHEREAS, the registered voters of the City of Wheat Ridqe did on June 22, 1982, at a special election authorize the issuance of a non-exclusive permit to American Cable Vision of Wheat Ridge; WHEREAS, the City Council, having reviewed the terms of said permit, wishes to ratify and accept the terms thereof and further wishes to authorize the Mayor and City Clerk to execute said permit. NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Wheat Ridge, Colorado, as follows: 1. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to execute a non-exclusive permit between the City of Wheat Ridge and American Cable Vision of Wheat Ridge, the terms of which are hereby expressly ratified. 2.
