HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution-1988-1106 RESOLUTION NO. 1106 Series of 1988 TITLE: RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO SIGN THE INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF WHEAT RIDGE AND THE JEFFERSON COUNTY SCHOOL DISTRICT R-1 ENTITLED JOINT USE AGREEMENT FOR PENNINGTON ELEMENTARY. WHEREAS, the City of Wheat Ridge and Jefferson County School District R-1 entered into an agreement on June 25, 1979 to cooperate with one another in the acquistion, development, and use of school and recreational facilities; and WHEREAS, the City has included the amount of $75,000.00 in the approved 1988 City Budget to be used for site improvements and restoration at Pennington Elementary School; and WHEREAS, the school/park site is to be used for Parks and Recreation purposes by the community; and WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the City of Wheat Ridge to enter into the Joint Use Agreement which is attached to this Resolution; and WHEREAS, Section 14.2 of the Home Rule Charter of the City of Wheat Ridge authorizes the City of Wheat Ridge, by Resolution, to enter into Intergovernmental Agreements. NOW, THEREFuRE, BE 11 HESOLVED by the Clty louncil ot the City of Wheat Ridge that the Intergovernmental Agreement entitled Joint Use Agreement for Pennington Elementary School, attached to this Resolution to be approved, and the Mayor be authorized to sign said Intergovernmental Agreement.
