RESOLUTION NO. 1135
SERIES OF 1989
TITLE: RESOLUTION OF APPRECIATION FOR RUTH HOWARD
WHEREAS, Ruth Howard was named Woman of the Year by the
Sentinel Newspaper; and
WHEREAS, Ruth Howard contributed time and energy in
forming the Wheat Ridge/Edgewater Coalition in October of 1988,
to fight substance abuse; and
WHEREAS, Ruth Howard has been a Director of Probation for
the City of Wheat Ridge since 1970; and
WHEREAS, Ruth Howard's accomplishments and achievements
with young people and probationers deserve recognition and
commendation; and
WHEREAS, citizens of our community are pleased to join in
expressing appreciation and approval of her efforts;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that on behalf of our City
government, and all of our citizens, our deep appreciation is
extended to Ruth Howard for her dedication and efforts and
particularly for her contribution in forming the Wheat
Ridge/Edgewater Coalition.
DONE AND RESOLVED this 13th day of February, 1989.
