TITLE: RESOLUTION APPROVING PROPOSED AMENDMENT TO INTERGOVERN-
MENTAL AGREEMENT DATED DECEMBER 6, 1984 CONCERNING
IMPLEMENTATION OF A COUNTY HAZARDOUS SUBSTANCE RESPONSE
PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the Jefferson County Hazardous Substance
Response Authority has proposed an amendment to the
Intergovernmental Agreement dated December 6, 1984, regarding the
terms in which a board member may remain on the Authority Board;
and
WHEREAS, the Authority Board recommends removing the
portion of Section V, 4 of the Agreement which states, "but no
member shall serve for more than two (2) consecutive terms"; and
WHEREAS, the City of Wheat Ridge concurs with the
recommendation of the Authority Board; and
WHEREAS, Section 14.2 of the Home Rule charter of the
City of Wheat Ridge authorizes the City of Wheat Ridge, by
Resolution, to enter into intergovernmental agreements;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the
City of Wheat Ridge, that the heretofore mentioned
Intergovernmental Agreement be amended to remove from Section V,
4, that portion which states, "but no member shall serve for more
than two (2) consecutive terms".
