MINUTES - CITY COUNCIL MEETING
July 27, 1977
The continuation of the hearing of the three-hundred seventy-second m~eting
of the Wheat Ridge City Council was called to order by Mayor Frank Stltes
at 7 00 P m at 4355 Field Street
Councilmen present were Mary Jo Cavarra, Joseph Donaldson, Robert Howard
Calvin Hulsey, Larry Merkl, and Louise Turner
Also present were City Attorney Maurice Fox, City Clerk Carol Hampf and
Director of Community Development Dennis Zwagerman
The purpose of this meeting was for Rebuttal
A verbatim record of the proceedings was taken by Linda Breech
Leo N Bradley appeared in behalf of the Applicants and Robert H Sonheim
appeared in behalf of the Opposition
Mayor Stites said that during this Rebuttal period there should be no
new evidence submitted and that each side would be allowed one and one-half
hours
Motion by Councilman Cavarra "I move that during the course of this
evening's Rebuttal neither side be penalized by cross-examination of the
opposing attorney and that any discussion or questions by the City Council,
time they use would not be deducted from the 1-1/2 hours that the attorneys
have to present their case" Motion was Seconded by Councilman Turner and
carried 5-1, Councilman Howard voting Nay
Mr Bradley called Ronald Hoisington, and Robert Leigh He then called
Watson A Bowes of 801 Equitable Building, Denver, Real Estate Counselor
and Appraiser of A G Bowes and Son, as per request on July 25, 1977
Exhibits 125, 126, and 118 were admitted and Mr Bradley asked Council to
take note of referral letters regarding water, sewer, etc
Mr Sonheim asked regarding petitions and letters to the Council Mr
Zwagerman said that these would be introduced on Thursday, July 28, 1977
Mr Sonheim then asked if Exhibit Z had been admitted Mr Bradley said
that he had no objections as to validity They have been admitted
Mr Sonheim stated that there would be no rebuttal
Mayor Stites said that the hearing was continued until tomorrow night,
July 28, 1977, at 7 00 p m
