RESOLUTION NO. 1435

TITLE:
A RESOLUTION IMPLEMENTING VOTER PREFERENCE FOR
RECONSTRUCTION OF WEST 38TH AVENUE BETWEEN CODY AND
KIPLING.
WHEREAS, the city Council placed on the November 8, 1994
ballot a question regarding the preferred width for the
reconstruction of West 38th Avenue between Cody and Kipling, to
allow voters to choose between a 36 foot and 44 foot width; and
WHEREAS, at the November 8, 1994 election voters clearly
expressed their preference to have the city reconstruct West 38th
Avenue between Cody and Kipling to a flowline to flowline width of
36 feet; and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City Council to take any
and all actions necessary to implement the voters' expressed choice
for the reconstruction of West 38th Avenue between Cody and
Kipling.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Wheat Ridge City
Council that:
1. The reconstruction of West 38th Avenue between Cody and
Kipling with the 36 foot flowline to flowline design as
prepared by the City Engineering Division, shall proceed
as expeditiously as possible, with the intent that the
reconstruction be completed in calendar year 1995.
2. The City Council directs that the Mayor, City
Administrator, and city Attorney take any and all
necessary measures to insure that there are no delays in
the reconstruction of West 38th Avenue between cody and
Kipling, and that the City Councils' intent of having the
project completed in 1995 is fulfilled.
DONE AND RESOLVED this 14th day of November, 1994.
