TITLE:
A RESOLUTION REQUESTING AND AUTHORIZING JEFFERSON COUNTY
OPEN SPACE TRANSFER $300,000 FROM THE CITY OF WHEAT RIDGE
ATTRIBUTABLE SHARE OF THE JEFFERSON COUNTY OPEN SPACE
FUND TO THE CITY OF WHEAT RIDGE OPEN SPACE ACCOUNT WITH
ALL FUNDS TO BE EXPENDED FOR CONSTITUTED PURPOSES WHICH
ARE AUTHORIZED BY THE JEFFERSON COUNTY OPEN SPACE
RESOLUTION AS ADOPTED BY THE VOTERS ON NOVEMBER 7, 1972
AND AMENDED ON NOVEMBER 4, 1980.
WHEREAS, the City of Wheat Ridge has funds available in the
City of Wheat Ridge attributable share of the Jefferson County Open
Space Fund; and
WHEREAS, the City of Wheat Ridge has established a City of
Wheat Ridge Open Space Interest Bearing Account; and
WHEREAS, all funds received from The Jefferson County Open
Space Fund are deposited in the City of Wheat Ridge Open Space
account; and
WHEREAS, the City of Wheat Ridge is able to accept additional
revenue under the Amendment One revenue cap; and
WHEREAS, this transfer is allowed under Amendment One;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WHEAT RIDGE THAT:
1) The City of Wheat Ridge request Jefferson County Open
Space transfer Three Hundred Thousand Dollars ($300,000)
from the City of Wheat Ridge attributable share of the
Jefferson County Open Space Fund to the City of Wheat
Ridge Open Space Account.
2) All funds shall be expended for constituted purposes
which are authorized by the Jefferson County Open Space
Resolution as adopted by the voters on November 7, 1972
and amended on November 4, 1980.
