A RESOLUTION AMENDING THE PURCHASING POLICY FOR SURPLUS EQUIPMENT AND MATERIAL OF THE CITY OF WHEAT RIDGE. WHEREAS, the City of Wheat Ridge has recently purchased the Copa Cabana property consisting of two buildings, which have a considerable amount of inventory in them. and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Wheat Ridge is accountable to the citizens of the city; and WHEREAS, a proper inventory needs to be accomplished before any inventory is disposed of; and WHEREAS, decisions by the entire councilor a committee appointed by them, need to be made as to what part of the inventory is usable by the city, either in the Copa building or in other buildings or departments of the city NOW THEREFORE, the purchasing manual for the city is hereby revised to read' SURPLUS EQUIPMENT AND MATERIALS Pg. 12, par 1 All material to be sold as surplus must be reported, in writing, to the Purchasing Division The sale of any equipment items must have the approval of the City Council Pg. 12, par 3 Regarding the sale of any items of scrap or junk, the department concerned should report this situation directly to the Purchasing agent to be forwarded to the city council for approval on the appropriate form, prior to sale. This resolution shall not apply to the Police department or to surplus material specific to the Public Works Dept. All other material deemed as surplus property, junk or unnecessary must be brought before the council at a regular meeting for approval. DONE AND RESOLVED THIS DAY OF , 1996.
