TITLE:
RESOLUTION REQUESTING REIMBURSEMENT FOR LAND
ACQUISITION COST FROM JEFFERSON COUNTY OPEN SPACE
FUND 100% FROM THE JEFFERSON COUNTY SHARE FOR THE
ACQUISITION OF PROPERTY LOCATED AT 3975 KIPLING, 4075
KIPLING, AND 10150 W. 40TH AVE TOTALING 10.6 ACRES MORE OR
LESS. SAID PROPERTY TO BE USED FOR PARKS AND RECREATION
PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, The City of Wheat Ridge has determined there is a need for
a Recreation Center in Wheat Ridge and,
WHEREAS; The Wheat Ridge City Council has determined the location
for the Recreation Center shall be at 40th Avenue and Kipling Street. This
determination being made after numerous public meetings and;
WHEREAS; The City of Wheat Ridge has purchased the 2.48 acres more
or less of property located at 3975 Kipling and,
WHEREAS; The City of Wheat Ridge has purchased the 3800 square
feet more or less of property located at 4075 Kipling and,
WHEREAS; The City of Wheat Ridge has purchased the 7.3 acres more
or less of property located at 10150 W 40th Avenue and,
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Wheat Ridge that the City request the Jefferson County Open Space Fund
reimburse the City of Whet Ridge for the land purchase costs and the appraisal,
survey, and environmental assessment cost for the acquisition of the 2.48 acres,
more or less, ofland at 3975 Kipling, the 3800 Square feet, more or less, ofland at
4075 Kipling, and the 7.3 acres, more or less, ofland at 10150 W 40th Avenue.
Said property to be used for Parks and Recreation Purposes, Reimbursement to be
100% from the Jefferson County Share of the Open Space Fund.
