TITLE:
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING CITY MANAGER TO SEEK
REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS FOR A PROFESSIONAL
F ACILIT A TOR TO ASSIST THE CITY OF WHEAT RIDGE IN
PREPARING A CITY COUNCIL STRATEGIC PLAN
WHEREAS, the elected and appointed officials of the City of Wheat RIdge
are dedIcated to create a hIgh qualIty of lIfe through partICIpatIOn from the communIty by
provIding comprehenslVe qualIty servIces. To preserve and foster thIS stewardshIp, the
elected and appolllted officials recogmze the need to develop objectIves and goals to meet
the challenges and future needs of the community; and
WHEREAS, to be responsIve to these needs, the elected and appowted
offiCials of the CIty of Wheat RIdge would lIke to embark on the path of developing a
comprehenslVe strategIc plan that WIll gUIde offiCIals and staff to create attalllable
objectives and actIon plans to achIeve these goals, and
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the CIty CounCIl of the CIty
of Wheat RIdge, Colorado, as follows
1 The Clty Manager shall develop and send out a Request for Proposal to
IdentIfy profeSSIOnal faCIlItators to assIst the CIty of Wheat RIdge CIty Council to develop
attalllable goals, objectives, actIOn plans and follow through methods to measure of inItiated
programs prescnbed by the new strategIc plan
2 As part of the final selectIOn process, the CIty Manager shall select up to
four (4) professional faCIlitators for the Council and other selected representatIves to
llltervlew The faCIlitator selected and theIr strategIc plan proposal shall be approved by the
City CouncIl.
