RESOLUTION NO 17-2002

TITLE. A RESOLUTION REQUESTING AN EXTENSION OF THE CONTRACT WITH
GOCO (GREAT OUTDOORS COLORADO) FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF PHASE II OF
THE MANWARING FIELD
WHEREAS, Great Outdoors Colorado (GOCO) awarded the City of Wheat Ridge a grant
m the amount of $56,250 for the purposes of constructIng Phase II of the Manwanng Field, and
WHEREAS, Wheat Ridge accepted the grant In January, 1999; and
WHEREAS, the executed grant agreement provides for completlOn of Phase II ofthe
Manwanng Field on or before August 31, 2002, and
WHEREAS, the Wheat RIdge City Councll awarded a contract for constructIOn III July of
2002, and
WHEREAS, the City wlll beglll the constructlOn of Phases II and III of the Manwanng
Field ImmedIately but do not antIcipate completion of the constructlOn until December, 2002.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT,
I The City of Wheat RIdge requests that GOCO grant an extensIOn of the
Manwanng Field contract (Contract #9294) until January 31,2003 to submit the
final report and clOSIng documentatlOn.
