TITLE:
A RESOLUTION LEVYING GENERAL PROPERTY
TAXES FOR THE YEAR OF 2002, TO HELP DEFRAY THE
COSTS OF GOVERNMENT FOR THE CITY OF WHEAT
RIDGE, COLORADO FOR THE 2003 BUDGET YEAR
WHEREAS, the City CouncIl ofthe City of Wheat Ridge will adopt the annual budget l1l
accordance with the Local Govemment Budget Law, and;
WHEREAS, the Local Govemment Budget Law reqUires certification of the annual
property tax mill levy by December 15, 2002, and,
WHEREAS, the amount of money needed to balance the budget for general opcratmg
expenses from property tax sources IS $669,178, and,
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WHEAT RIDGE:
A. That for the purpose of meetmg all general operatmg expenses of the City of
Wheat Ridge dunng the 2003 budget year, there IS hereby lcvled a tax of 1 860
mtlls placed upon cach dollar of the total valuatIOn of all taxable property wlthm
the City of Wheat Ridge for the year 2002.
B That the Mayor of the CIty of Wheat RIdge IS hercby authonzed and directed to
Immediately certify to the County CommissIOners of Jefferson County, Colorado
the mill levy for the City of Wheat Ridge as herem above detenmned and set.
