TITLE:
A RESOLUTION AMENDING THE FISCAL YEAR 2005
BUDGET TO REFLECT ACCEPTANCE OF THE EDWARD
BYRNE MEMORIAL BUREAU OF JUSTICE ASSISTANCE
GRANT
WHEREAS, the City of Wheat Ridge applied for and was awarded a grant to
assist the Wheat Ridge Police Department in purchasing equipment to develop and
implement community policing strategies for school resource officers, crime prevention
and education, and forensic digital imaging equipment; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to accept the grant m the amount of
$30,968, and
WHEREAS, the Wheat Ridge Charter requires that amendments to the budget be
effected by the City Council adopting a Resolution.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Wheat Ridge, Colorado, as follows:
A. The City hereby accepts the grant.
B The City Manager is authorized to execute all documents necessary for the
acceptance of the award.
C. Upon receipt of the funds, that the funds be placed m the general fund.
D. The City of Wheat Ridge fiscal year 2005 budget be amended accordingly,
specifically adding $30,968 into the Police Department expense account
01-201-650-660.
