RESOLUTION NO. 41

TITLE: A RESOLUTION APPROVING A CONTRACT WITH THE
COLORADO DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION FOR THE
WIDENING OF 32N° AVENUE FROM BRAUN COURT TO
WRIGHT COURT, PROJECT N0.18528,
WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to provide for the widening of 32"d Avenue
from Braun Court to Wright Court; and
WHEREAS, the City has been awarded a federal transportation grant by the
Denver Regional Council Government (DRCOG) to widen 32"d Avenue through
reconstruction of this particular roadway segment; and
WHEREAS, the City has negotiated a contract with the Colorado Department of
Transportation, DRCOG's funding steward, for the funding of the Project; and
WHEREAS, the project funds will be programmed in the 2012 Capital Investment
Program budget in the amount of $5,517,000 in the 32"d Avenue and Youngfield
improvements account to finance the project cost and will seek reimbursement of 53%
of the Project costs from COOT upon Project completion;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Wheat Ridge City Council, that:
Section 1. Contract Approved.
The contract between the City and the Colorado Department of Transportation for
Project 18528: West 32"d Avenue Widening construction from Braun Court to
Wright Court, is hereby approved and the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized
and directed to execute the same.
Section 2. Effective Date /b ho/;;!oil r 1
This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon adoption.
