TITLE: RESO L UTION NO . 41-20 12 - A RESOLUTION AM ENDING THE
FISCAL YEAR 2012 GEN ERAL FUND BUDGET APPROVING A
SUPP L EMENTAL BUDG ET APPROPR IATION TO REFLECT THE
ACCEPTANCE OF THE CHILD CAR SEAT EXAMINATION AND
REP LACEMEN T SAFETY FAIR GRAN T FROM THE COLORADO
DEPARTMEN T OF TRANSPORTA TI ON IN THE AMOUNT OF
$4,884 .20
WHER EAS , the City of Wheat Ridge Police Department has been awarded a
grant to support the 2012 Child Car Seat Examination and Replacement Safety Fair, in
an effort to reduce the number of fatalities and serious inj u ries in traffic crashes
involving infants and children required by Colorado State Law to be in a car seat or
booster seat; and
WHEREAS , City Council desires to accept the grant in the amount of $4,884.20
to fund the program; and
WHER EAS, the Wheat Ridge City Charter requires that amendments to the
budget be effected by the City Council adopting a resolution ; and
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESO LVED by t h e C ity Counc il o f the City of
Wheat Ridg e, Col o rado, as f ollows:
A The City Council authorizes the acceptance of the 2012 Child Car Seat
Examination and Replacement grant funded by COOT and the amendment of
Crime Prevention Fund revenues accordingly.
B. The City Council authorizes an amendment to account number 63-201-650-660
of the Crime Prevention Fund in the amount of $4 ,884 .20 .
C . The City Manager is authorized to execute all documents necessary for the
acceptance of the award.
