SERVICE CHANGE REQUIRED- CODE VIOLATIONS
Estimator meeting required The existing meter base is only rated
for 60A which will require an upgrade. The existing main and
distribution panel is supply -fed and violates the 6 -handle rule.
2020 NEC requires an exterior disconnect with all meter
upgrades. Relocate the electrical service to the southeast corner
of the house shortening the service laterals. Install a new
grounding electrode system at the new meter/main location. Run
new SER through the attic to the existing panel location. Install a
new mast and weather head allowing it to extend at least 3'
above the surface of the roof. Replace the interior load center
with a new 125A sub panel to be fed by a new 125A/2P breaker
in the new meter/main. Replace the existing breakers with
Square D Homeline. Install a ground bar to separate the grounds
and neutrals. Interconnect with a PV breaker in the furthest
position away from the main breaker in the upgraded meter/main.
