Please provide this letter as proof of the following onsite observation on July 25, 2022. DL Engineering
Inc. is not responsible for the design of this structure and only observed the as -built framing. Below is a
summary of the observations made:
• Floors
o Floors were constructed using 117/8"PWI-47 in place of the 210 TA joists as specified
in plans.
o Otherwise, floors were built per plans.
• Wall Framing
o Tripled up headers at the openings to patios/balconies were unable to be confirmed to
be three members deep due to 2X6 obstructing view from bottom. But in cases were
the were not obstructed they were installed correctly, and it would be safe to assume all
triple headers were installed correctly.
o The 12) 2X8 headers in the closets of each unit were replaced by 1 W x 7 W LVL. Per the
GC these changes will be approved and reflected in the EORs as built plans.
o Header and opening missing on assumed north wall at end of west wall on level 2.
o Otherwise built per plans.
• Tower Framing
o Missing headers on western towers.
o Otherwise built per plans.
• Shear Walls
o Noncontinuous sheathing in several locations at the interior shear wall their
perpendicular walls were framed., these locations appear to be adequate but will
require engineer of record to advise.
o Gaps in some areas in exterior sheathing were spanned by manufactured shear plates,
these locations appear to be adequate but will require engineer on record to advise.
o Otherwise built per plans.
• Straps and Ties
o Built per plans.
