RESOLUTION NO. 47

TITLE: A RESOLUTION AMENDING THE FISCAL YEAR 2023
GENERAL FUND BUDGET TO REFLECT THE APPROVAL
OF A SUPPLEMENTAL BUDGET APPROPRIATION IN THE
AMOUNT OF $25,000 FOR THE PURPOSE OF ACCEPTING
THE COLORADO GIVES FOUNDATION THRIVING JEFFCO
RESPONSIVE GRANT
WHEREAS, the City of Wheat Ridge Homeless Navigation Program works to
make contact, build rapport, and provide basic need support to people experiencing
homelessness; and
WHEREAS, the Colorado Gives Foundation Thriving Jeffco Communities
Responsive Grant is a one-year responsive grant opportunity designed to share ideas
and projects they believe will help Jeffco communities thrive; and
WHEREAS, the City of Wheat Ridge Homeless Navigation Program was
awarded $25,000 in funds from the Colorado Gives Foundation to provide services and
support to help its unhoused residents thrive, by placing individuals into permanent or
transitional housing, and providing tailored move-in kits and light case management;
and
WHEREAS, the Council therefore wishes to accept the Colorado Gives
Foundation funds for the aforementioned housing and support purposes, as set forth
herein; and
WHEREAS, the Wheat Ridge Charter requires that amendments to the budget
be effected by the City Council adopting a resolution.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Wheat Ridge City Council, that:
Section 1. A transfer of $25,000 is hereby approved from the General Fund
undesignated reserves to account 01-114-650-660 and the 2023 revenues
are amended accordingly.
DONE AND RESOLVED this 9th day of October 2023.
