TITLE: RESOLUTION NO. 05-2024 – A RESOLUTION AMENDING THE
2024 OPEN SPACE BUDGET TO REFLECT THE APPROVAL
OF A SUPPLEMENTAL BUDGET APPROPRIATION IN THE
AMOUNT OF $65,000 FOR THE PURPOSE OF ACCEPTING
FUNDS FROM THE COLORADO DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC
HEALTH AND ENVIRONMENT FOR MILE-HIGH YOUTH
CORPS WORK ALONG THE GREENBELT
WHEREAS, the Wheat Ridge Charter requires that amendments to the budget be effected by the City Council adopting a resolution; and
WHEREAS, Wheat Ridge City Council previously approved the 2024 Open Space (Fund 32) budget; and
WHEREAS, the City received $65,000 from the Colorado Department of Public
Health and Environment in late 2023 to be utilized for Mile High Youth Corps work in 2024; and WHEREAS, the revenue was deposited into the Open Space (Fund 32) budget, and a budget supplemental is needed to appropriate the funds for related expenses in
2024. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Wheat Ridge City Council, that:
Section 1. A supplemental budget appropriation of $65,000 is hereby approved
from Open Space Budget undesignated reserves to account No.32-601-800-870 for the purposes of budgeting for 2024-Mile-High Youth Corps work.
