Series of 1969
TITLE. AN ORDINANCE SETTING THE SALARY OF THE CLERK AND TREASURER
OF THE CITY OF WHEAT RIDGE, COLORADO.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WHEAT RIDGE,
COLORADO, THAT;
Section 1. The salary for the Clerk for the year,
October 1, 1969, through December 31, 1969, shall be One Thousand
Five Hundred ($1,500) Dollars.
Section 2. The salary for the Clark of the City of Wheat
Ridge shall be payable monthly at the rate of Five Hundred ($500)
Dollars per month.
Section 3. The salary for the Treasurer of the City of
Wheat Ridge for the year, October 1, 1969, through December 31, 19699
shall be One Hundred Fifty ($150) Dollars.
Section 4. The salary of the Treasurer shall".be payable
monthly at the rate of Fifty ($50) Dollars per month.
Section 5. Emergency Clause. The Provisions of this
ordinance are to establish salaries for the Clerk and Treasurer of
the City of Wheat Ridge, pursuant to Chapter 139-4-2, Colorado
Revised Statute, 1963, for the following reasons:
A. No ordinances setting the salaries of the Clerk
and Treasurer exist in'the City because the City having completed
incorporation August 20, 1569, has not heretofore adopted any
ordinance setting any salaries within the City.

B. Ordinances setting salaries of Clerk and Treasurer
are necessary to allow these people to serve efficiently.
Section 6. Effective date. This ordinance shall take
effect and be in force five (5) days after publication following
final passage providing it shall have_baen passed by an affirmative
vote of three-fourths (3/4) of the members of the City Council;
otherwise, said ordinance shall take effect thirty (30) days after
publication following final passage.
