TITLE. AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING A FISCAL YEAR FOR THE CITY OF
WHEAT RIDGE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WHEAT RIDGE,
COLORADO, THAT:
Section 1. PURPOSE. This Ordinance is enacted for the
purpose of establishing a fiscal year other than that provided for
by State Statute.
Section 2. The fiscal year for the year 1970 for the
City of Wheat Ridge shall commence on January 1 and end on December
31.
Section 3. EMERGENCY CLAUSE. The provisions of this
Ordinance are necessary to the immediate preservation of the public
health, safety and welfare of the citzens of Wheat Ridge for the
following reasons:
A. No ordinances establishing a fiscal year exist in the
City because the City having completed incorporation August 20, 1969,
has not heretofore adopted any such regulations. Fiscal year ordi-
nances-are necessary to the proper functioning of the City of Wheat
Ridge.
Section 4. EFFECTIVE DATE. This Ordinance shall take .
effect and be in force five (5) days after publication following
final passage providing that it shall have been passed by an affirm-
ative vote of three-fourths (3/4) members of the City Council; other-
wise, said Ordinance shall take effect thirty (30) days after publi-
cation following final passage.
