ORDINANCE NO. 60
Series` of 1970
TITLE AN ORDINANCE TO-AMEND ORDINANCE NO 49, PERTAINING TO POLICE
PENSIONS-BY THE ADDITION OF A NEW _SECTIO_N PERTAINING TO "THE REFUND
OF CONTRIBUTIONS MADE BY POLICEMEN.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL-OF-THE CITY OF WHEAT RIDGE,
COLORADO, that:
Section 1. ORDINANCE NO. 49 is'hereby amended by the
addition of the following provision:
Refund of. CarLtrib4tigns;
(a) Should any paid member of the Police Department who
has contributed to the Fund leave.the services of the City prior to
becoming eligible to-receive a pension payable from funds of the
Policemen's Pension Fund, for any reason other than his death or
disability, all funds that shall have been paid into such fund by
such person shall be refunded to such member on demand. In no event
shall such refund include accumulated int-es.est on the members' con-
tributions or any partian_of the City's or State's contribution to
the Fund.
(b) Refund of a policeman's payment as hereinabove provided
may be made in installments, according to such rules and regulations -
as the Board of Trustees shall from time to time adopt.
Section 2. Effect of Ordinance. Except_as expressly
amended herein, all of the terms and provisions of Ordinance No. 49
shall remain in full force and effect.
Section 3. Effective.Date,._ ThisWOrdinance shall take
effect.and be in force thirty (30) days after publication following
final passage.
