ORDINANCE NO. 142

TITLE: AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE 100 RELATING TO THE CONTROL
AND REGULATION OF ANIMALS.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WHEAT RIDGE,
COLORADO, THAT:
Ordinance 100 is hereby amended as follows:
Section 1. Section 7. Impoundment (h) is hereby repealed
and shall be as follows:
"(h) Any dog impounded under the provisions of this
Ordinance shall not be released until the owner of said dog shall
have paid all fees and charges due. An impoundment fee of ten dollars
($10.00) shall be assessed whenever a dog is taken to the pound by
an Animal Warden under any conditions other than having been vol-
untarily given to the Animal Warden by the owner thereof. A
boarding fee to be established by the place of impoundment and
approved by the Chief of Police shall also be assessed."
Section 2. In the title and all of the Ordinance strike
"City Clerk" and put in lieu of it "Police Chief."
Section 3. Effective Date: This Ordinance shall become
effective thirty (30) days after final publication following
final passage.
