TITLE: AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 175, SERIES OF 1975; REPEALING
ORDINANCE NO. 138, SERIES OF 1974; ORDINANCE 149, SERIES OF 1974; ORDINANCE
NO. 150, SERIES OF 1974; ORDINANCE NO. 157, SERIES OF 1974; ORDINANCE NO.
165, SERIES OF 1975, ORDINANCE NO. 170, SERIES OF 19757 AND ESTABLISHING
ADDITIONAL POSITION CLASSIFICATIONS, PAY GRADES AND PAY RANGES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WHEAT RIDGE, JEFFERSON
COUNTY, COLORADO, THAT:
Section 1. Ordinances No. 138, Series of 1974; No. 149, Series of 1974;
No. 150, Series of 1974; No. 157, Series of 1974; No. 165, Series of 1975;
and No. 170, Series of 1975 are hereby repealed.
Section 2. Section 1 of Ordinance No. 175, Series of 1975, is hereby amended
by adding the following pay grades, position titles, and pay ranges:

Section 3. All remaining pay grades, position titles and pay ranges within
Ordinance No. 175, Series of 1975, shall remain in full force and effect.
Section 4. Emergency Clause. The provisions of this Ordinance are necessary
for the preservation of public health and safety of the citizens of the City
of Wheat Ridge for the following reasons:
(1) The new positions and pay ranges were mistakenly left out of
Ordinance No. 175;
(2) The positions and pay ranges are necessary to reflect the adopted
wage policy of the City of Wheat Ridge;
(3) The revision contained herein has a direct bearing on employee
productivity and morale and is, therefore, in the public interest for
immediate implementation.
Section 5. Effective Date. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force
five (5) days after publication following final passage providing it shall have
been passed by an affirmative vote of three-fourths (3/4) of the members of the
City Council; otherwise, said Ordinance shall take effect thirty (30) days
after publication following final passage.
