ORDINANCE NO. 187

TITLE. AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ITEM J. SECTION 26, ORDINANCE
NO. 98, SERIES OF 1971, RELATING TO NON-CONFORMING SIGNS.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WHEAT
RIDGE, COLORADO, THAT:
SECTION I. Item 4, Subsection J, Section 26,
Ordinance No. 98, Series of 1971, is hereby amended to read
as follows:
J.4. All other signs in violation of the terms and
provisions of this sign code shall be put into conformance at
the time of replacement;or repair of damage exceeding fifty per cent (50%)
due to natural causes. This requirement shall not be applicable
to normal maintenance, including but not limited to painting,
electrical repair and other miscellaneous repair upon any non-
conforming sign. All non-conforming signs shall, in any event,
be removed or brought in conformance with this ordinance by
January 1, 1978.
SECTION 2. Effective date. This ordinance shall
take effect thirty (30 days aft er inal publications.
