ORDINANCE NO. 226
Series of 1976
TITLE: AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE 207, SERIES OF 1976,
SECTION I, MERIT AND CIVIL SERVICE CLASSIFICATIONS,
ADDING AN ADDITIONAL JOB CLASSIFICATION.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WHEAT RIDGE,
COLORADO THAT:
Section I. Ordinance 207, Series of 1976, is hereby amended by
adding the following pay grade, classification title and pay range:

Section II. All remaining pay grades, classification titles and
pay grades within Ordinance 207, Series of 1976, shall remain
unchanged and in full force and effect.
Section III. Severability Clause
If any clause, sentence, paragraph, or part of this ordinance or
the application thereof to any person or circumstances shall for any
reason be adjudged by a court of competent jurisdiction invalid, such
judgement shall not affect, impair or invalidate the remainder of this
ordinance or its application to other persons or circumstances.
Section IV. Emergency Clause for this Ordinance.
The provisions of this ordinance are necessary for the preser-
vation of the public health and safety of the citizens of Wheat
Ridge for the following reasons:
1. The addition of the position is necessary to provide proper
manpower for the Park Ranger Program.
2. The addition of the position is necessary to conform to City
Council action and the approved 1977 Budget.
Section V. Effective Date for this Ordinance.
This ordinance shall take effect and be in force immediately
after publication following final passage providing it shall have
been passed by an affirmative vote of three-fourths (3/4) of the
members of the City Council and has been approved by the Mayor of
Wheat Ridge, Colorado. Otherwise, said Ordinance shall take effect
thirty(30) days after publication following final passage.

a vote of 5 to 0 this27thday of December A.D., 1976.
