SERIES OF 1977
TITLE: AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF LAND FOR
PARK PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WHEAT
RIDGE, COLORADO, THAT:
Section 1. Authorization is hereby given to the Mayor
and City Administrator to execute such instruments as are
necessary to purchase the following described real property-
All that portion of LAKESIDE, as shown by
plat recorded June 13, 1883 in Plat Book 1
at Page 20, described as follows:
Beginning at a point 30 feet North of the
Northeast corner of Block 10, LAKESIDE,
according to the recorded plat thereof;
thence West, parallel with the North line
of Block 10, a distance of 409.5 feet;
thence South, parallel with the West line
of Block 10, a distance of 357 feet; thence
East, parallel with the South line of Block
10, a distance of 169.5 feet; thence South,
parallel with the West line of Block 10, a
distance of 33 feet; thence East, parallel
with the South line of Block 10, to a point
3 feet East of the West line of Block 9,
LAKESIDE, according to the recorded plat
thereof; thence North, parallel with the
West line of Block 9, a distance of 390
feet; thence West to the point of beginning.
EXCEPTING THEREFROM that portion described
in instrument recorded in Book 1818 at Page
351.
Section 2. The price to be paid for the acquisition of
such real property shall be the sum of $200,000.00, payable
in cash or certified funds, on the date of closing.
Section 3. The funds for acquisition of said property
shall come from the Jefferson County Open Space Funds.
Section 4. Title shall be taken in conformance with the
Jefferson County Open Space Resolution.
INTRODUCED, READ, ADOPTED AND ORDERED PUBLISHED on first
reading by a vote of 5 to 1 , this20th day of June , 1977,
READ, ADOPTED AND ORDERED PUBLISHED on second and final
reading by a vote of 5 to 0 , this 11th day of Ju1y 1977.
