ORDINANCE NO. 248
Series of 1977
TITLE: AN ORDINANCE REQUIRING THAT ALL BOARD AND COMMISSION
MEMBERS BE RESIDENTS OF THE CITY OF WHEAT RIDGE, AND
FURTHER AUTHORIZING THE APPOINTMENT OF ALTERNATES TO
EACH AND EVERY BOARD AND COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
WHEAT RIDGE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY O WHEAT RIDGE,
COLORADO, THAT:
Section 1. All board and commission members shall be
residents of the City of Wheat Ridge, Colorado. Any commission
member who fails to maintain his residency in the City of Wheat
Ridge shall be replaced by appointment as elsewhere provided in
the Code of Laws of the City of Wheat Ridge.
Section 2. All boards and commissions may have alternate
members, which alternate members shall be appointed as provided in
the Code of Laws of the City of Wheat Ridge.
Section 3. Each board and commission shall also establish
by majority vote an attendance requirement for its members, with the
stipulation that such attendance requirement shall be brought to
City Council for ratification.
Section 4. Effective Date. This Ordinance shall take effect
30 days after publication following final passage.

a vote of 4 to 1 , this 17th day of October ,
1977.
READ, ADOPTED AND ORDERED PUBLISHED on second and final reading by
a vote of 5 to 1 this 14th of November ,
1977.
