ORDINANCE NO. 280
Series of 1978
TITLE: AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 9.3, ARTICLE II, ENVIRONMENTAL CONTROL
OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF WHEAT RIDGE, COUNTY OF JEFFERSON,
STATE OF COLORADO.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WHEAT RIDGE, COLORADO, THAT:
Section 1. Section 9.3, Article II, Environmental Control of the Code of the
City of Wheat Ridge, County of Jefferson, State of Colorado, shall
be amended to add the following:
This section is intended to provide for the general protection
of water ways and to prevent encroachment upon them, but it is
not intended to preclude the construction and/or installation
of bridges or culverts for bridge purposes properly designed so
as to not impede the flow of water in said water course or
adversely affect said water storage area. Said construction
and/or installation shall be approved by the City Engineer prior
to issuance of any building permits by the Department of Commun-
ity Development.
Section 2. This ordinance shall take effect _ fifteen (15) days after
final publication.
INTRODUCED, READ, AND ADOPTED on first reading by a vote of 4 to 2
on this 15th day of May , 1978; ordered published in the
Wheat Ridge Sentinel and Public Hearing and consideration on final passage
set for June 12 , 1978, at 7:30 o'clock P.M., at Council
Chambers, Anderson Building, 4355 Field Street, Wheat Ridge, Colorado.
READ, ADOPTED, AND ORDERED PUBLISHED on second and final reading by a vote of
6 to 0 this 20th day of _ November ,
1978.

Ordinance No. 280 Amending Section 9.3, Article II, Environmental Control
of the Code of the City of Wheat Ridge, as above set out, will be held
before the Wheat Ridge City Council on Monday, November 13, 1978, at 7:30 p.m.,
in City Council Chambers at 7500 W. 29th Ave., Municipal Building, Wheat Ridge,
Colorado, pursuant to Motion of Council duly made and adopted at its meeting
of October 23, 1978./
