TITLE: AN ORDINANCE ATIENDING SECTIONS 2.4 AND 4.2 OF APPENDIX
B, FLOOD PLAIN ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CODE OF THE CITY
OF WHEAT RIDGE, COLORADO, WHICH PMENDMENT RELATES TO
THE OFFICIAL FLOOD PLAIN MAP.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WHEAT RIDGE,
COLORADO, THAT:
Section 1. Appendix B, Flood Plain Zoning Ordinance, of the City
of Wheat Ridge, Colorado, Sections 2.4 and 4.2 are hereby amended
to read as follows:
2.4 Adoption of official maps. The location and
boundaries of Clear Creek and-Bena-auleh, LENA GULCH,
AND SLOAN'S LAKE BASIN Flood Areas established by this
ordinance are shown on the "Flood Plain Zoning Map of
the City of Wheat Ridge" and on the "OFFICIAL ZONING MAP,
1978-79 UPDATE". IN ADDITION, THE "Flood Insurance Rate
Map (FIR1~1) I-01 02, AND 03", AS
REVISED by the Department of Housing and Urban Development,
Federal Insurance Administration for the City of Wheat
Ridge, Colorado, bah}eh are ARE hereby incorporated into
this ordinance. The said maps, together with all applicable
supporting technical data on which the mans are based and
together with all amendments thereto, shall be as much
a part of this ordinance as if fully set forth and described
therein. Each change in said maps shall be subject to
the Amendment Procedure as described in Section 9.0.

CLERK AND RECORDER'S OFFICE IN JEFFERSON COUNTY, COLORADO,
WITH COPIES IN THE DEPARTMENT OF COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT,
CITY OF WHEAT RIDGE.
4.2 Description of district. The area of special flood

Section 2. Safety Clause. The City Council hereby finds, determines
and declares that this ordinance is promulgated under the general
police power of the City of Wheat Ridge, that it is promulgated for
the health, safety and welfare of the public, and that this ordinance
is necessary for the preservation of health and safety and for the
protection of public convenience and welfare. The City Council
further determines that the ordinance bears a rational relation to
the proper legislative object sought to be attained.
Section 3. Severability. If any clause, sentence, paragraph, or
part of this ordinance or the application thereof to any person
or circumstances shall for any reason be adjudged by a court of
competent jurisdiction invalid, such judgment shall not affect,
impair or invalidate the remainder of this ordinance or its
application to other persons or circumstances.
Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect 15 days after final
