ORDINANCE NO. 565
Series of 1984
TITLE: AN ORDINANCE REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 555, SERIES OF 1983,
RELATING TO MEMBERSHIP OF THE CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION.
WHEREAS, the Wheat Ridge City Council did, on November 14, 1983,
adopt ordinance No. 555, Series of 1983, which ordinance became
effective December 1, 1983;
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Wheat Ridge wishes to
repeal said Ordinance No. 555 and all provisions thereof, and
to provide for the provisions of Section 2-17 of the Code of
Laws of the City of Wheat Ridge to revert to their status prior
to adoption of said Ordinance 555.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WHEAT RIDGE
FINDS AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Ordinance No. 555, Series of 1983, titled "An
-Ordinance amending Section 2-17 of the Code of Laws of the City
of Wheat Ridge by reducing the membership of the Civil Service
Commission from eight (8) members to five (5) members and providing
for the appointment of one (1) member from the City at large,"
is hereby repealed in its entirety.
Section 2. The provisions of Section 2-17 of the Code of Laws
of the City of Wheat Ridge shall revert to their content and
configuration as though Ordinance 555 had never been adopted.
Section 3. Safety Clause. The City Council hereby finds,
determines, and declares that this ordinance is promulgated
under the general police power of the City of Wheat Ridge, that
it is promulgated for the health, safety, and welfare of the
public, and that this ordinance is necessary for the preservation
of health and safety and for the protection of public convenience
and welfare. The City Council further determines that the
ordinance bears a rational relation to the proper legislative
object sought to be attained.
Section 4. Severability. If any clause, sentence, paragraph,
or part of this ordinance or the application thereof to any
person or circumstances shall for any reason be adjudged by
a court of competent jurisdiction invalid, such judgment shall
not affect application to other persons or circumstances.
Section 5. This ordinance shall take effect Immediately after
final publication.

published in full in a newspaper of general circulation in the
City of Wheat Ridge and Public Hearing and consideration on final
passage set for February 27 , 1984, at 7:30 p.m. at Chambers,
7500 West 29th Avenue, Wheat Ridge, Colorado.
READ, ADOPTED, AND ORDERED PUBLISHED on second and final reading
by a vote of 5 to 3 this 27th day of February , 1984.
