TITLE: AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING THE SALARY FOR THE ELECTED
POSITIONS OF MAYOR, MEMBERS OF COUNCIL, CITY CLERK, AND
CITY 'TREASURER, OF THE CITY OF WHEAT RIDGE, DURING THE
TERM OF OFFICE COMMENCING NOVEMER 9, 1987 AND ENDING
NOVEBER 13, 1989; REPEALING ORDINANCE 636, SERIES OF
1985, AND PROVIDING FOR AN AUTOMATIC REPEAL AND
TERMINATION OF THIS ORDINANCE.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WHEAT RIDGE, COLORADO AS FOLLOWS:
1. Ordinance 636, Series of 1985, previously enacted by
the City Council of the City of Wheat Ridge, Colorado, is hereby
repealed.
2. During the term of elected office commencing
November 9, 1987, the following specified elected officials
within the City of Wheat Ridge shall receive the annual salaries
specified herein, payable in the monthly installments provided
herein:
A. The Mayor of the City of Wheat Ridge shall receive
an annual salary of $8,400, payable in monthly
installments of $700.
B. Each member of the City Council shall receive an
annual salary of $3,300 payable in monthly
installments of $275.
C. The City Clerk of the City of Wheat Ridge shall be
a full time position and shall receive an annual
salary of $22,575, payable in monthly installments
of $1,881.25.
D. The City Treasurer of the City of Wheat Ridge
shall be a part time position and shall receive an
annual salary of $24,000, payable in monthly
installments of $2,000.
3. This Ordinance shall be effective November 9, 1987, and
shall be automatically repealed and shall cease to be effective
on November 13, 1989.
INTRODUCED, READ, AND ADOPTED on first reading by a vote of
8 to 0 on this 12th day of October , 1987,
ordered published in full in a newspaper of general circulation
in the City of Wheat Ridge and Public Hearing and consideration
on final passage set for Monday, October 26 , 1987, at
7:30 o'clock p.m., in the Council Chambers, 7500 West 29th
Avenue, Wheat Ridge, Colorado
READ, ADOPTED, AND ORDERED PUBLISHED on second and final
reading by a vote of 6 to 2 this 26th day of October
1987.
