TITLE:
AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING THE SALARY FOR THE ELECTED
POSITIONS OF MAYOR, MEMBERS OF COUNCIL, CITY CLERK, AND
CITY TREASURER, OF THE CITY OF WHEAT RIDGE, DURING THE
TERM OF OFFICE COMMENCING NOVEMBER 11, 1991, AND ENDING
NOVEMBER 8, 1993; REPEALING ORDINANCE 808, SERIES OF
1989, AND PROVIDING FOR AN AUTOMATIC REPEAL AND
TERMINATION OF THIS ORDINANCE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WHEAT RIDGE,
COLORADO, THAT:
Section 1. Ordinance 808, Series of 1989, previously enacted
by the City Council of the city of Wheat Ridge, Colorado, is hereby
repealed.
Section 2. During the term of elected office commencing
November 11, 1991, the following specified elected officials within
the City of Wheat Ridge shall receive the annual salaries specified
herein, payable in the monthly installments provided herein:
A.
The Mayor of the City of Wheat
annual salary of $9,240.00,
installments of $770.00.

salary of $3,960.00, payable in monthly installments of
$330.00.
C. The city Clerk of the City of Wheat Ridge shall receive
an annual salary of $26,400.00 payable in monthly
installments of $2,200.00.
D. The City Treasurer of the City of Wheat Ridge shall
receive an annual salary of $26,400.00, payable in
monthly installments of $2,200.00.
Section 3. This ordinance shall be effective November 11,
1991, and shall be automatically repealed and shall cease to be
effective on November 8, 1993.
section 4. Severabilitv. If any clause, sentence, paragraph,
or part of this ordinance or the application thereof to any person
or circumstances shall for any reason be adjudged by a court of
competent jurisdiction invalid, such judgment shall not affect
application to other persons or circumstances.
section 5. Safety Clause. The city council hereby finds,
determines, and declares that this ordinance is promulgated under
the general police power of the City of Wheat Ridge, that it is
promulgated for the health, safety, and welfare of the public, and
that this ordinance is necessary for the preservation of health and
safety and for the protection of public convenience and welfare.

rational relation to the property legislative object sought to be
attained.

8 to 0 on this 14th day of October , 1991,
ordered published in full in a newspaper of general circulation in
the City of Wheat Ridge and Public Hearing and consideration on
final passage set for Monday. October 28 , 1991, at
7:30 o'clock p.m., in the Council Chambers, 7500 West 29th Avenue,
Wheat Ridge, Colorado.
