TITLE:
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 5-102, RELATING TO
CONTRACTOR LICENSING, SECTION 5-116, EXCEPTIONS, SECTION
5-117, CLASSIFICATIONS AND SECTION 5-121, FEES
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WHEAT RIDGE,
COLORADO THAT:
Section 1. Sec. 5-102. Application of Article., shall be amended
as follows:
The last sentence shall read, "Any such licensee under a
former code or ordinance who fails to re-apply for a
license at the conclusion of the annual expiration date
shall surrender his license and the same shall be deemed
to be null and void."
Section 2. Sec. 5-116 Exception. shall be amended as follows:
The last sentence shall be deleted in its entirety and
replaced by the sentence, "No fee shall be charged for
such registration."
Section 3. Sec. 5-117. Classification. Paragraph (4.) Same -
Class IV. shall be amended as follows:
"or major structural alterations to, a structure of Type ~
R-3 occupancy, owned and resided in by that individual."

Section 5. Section 5-117. Classification. Paragraph (18)(b)
shall be amended as follows:

Section 6. Sec. 5-121. Fees. The entire section shall be
deleted and re-inacted as follows:
The annual license fees for licenses under the provisions of this
article shall be paid in accordance with the following table:

Section 4. Violation and Penalties. Any person, firm,
association or other entity doing any act or omission in
violation of this Code shall be subject to prosecution, and
subsequent penalty, if any, as provided in Section 5-5 of the
Code of Laws of the City of Wheat Ridge.
Section 5. Severability. If any part or parts of this ordinance
are for any reason held to be invalid, such decision shall not
affect the validity of the remaining portions of this ordinance.
The City Council hereby declares that it would have passed this
ordinance and each part or parts thereof, irrespective of the
fact that anyone part or parts be declared invalid.
Section 6. Safety Clause. The City Council hereby finds,
determines, and declares that this ordinance is promulgated under
the police power of the City of Wheat Ridge, that it is
promulgated for the health, safety, and welfare of the public,
and that this ordinance is necessary for the preservation of
health and safety for the protection of public convenience and
welfare. The City Council further determines that the ordinance
bears a rational relation to these objectives.

Section 7. This ordinance shall take effect
after final publication.

7 to 0 on this 2nd day of December
1992; ordered published in full in a newspaper of general
circulation in the City of Wheat Ridge and Public Hearing and
consideration on final passage be set for January 11

Avenue, Wheat Ridge, Colorado.
