ORDINANCE NO. 919
Council Bill No. 2
Series of 1993
TITLE: AN ORDINANCE REPEALING SECTION 7 OF ORDINANCE NO. 642,
SERIES OF 1985 AND AMENDING SECTION 5-41 OF THE CODE
OF LAWS OF THE CITY OF WHEAT RIDGE, PROVIDING A BASIS FOR
ESTABLISHING BUILDING PERMIT FEES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WHEAT RIDGE
COLORADO:
Section 1. Section 7. of Ordinance 642, Series of 1985 is
hereby repealed.
Section 2~ Section 5-41 of the Code of Laws of the City of Wheat
Ridge is hereby amended as follows:

ALL FEES, shall be computed on the contract price of the work to
be performed, (total cost to the customer) and such fees shall be
based on Table No. 3-A as published in the Uniform Building Code
1991 Edition.
Section 3. Severability. If any part or parts of this ordinance
are for any reason held to be invalid, such decision shall not
affect the validity of the remaining portions of this ordinance.
The City Council hereby declares that it would have passed this
ordinance and each port or parts thereof, irrespective of the
fact that anyone part or parts be declared invalid.
Section 4. Safety Clause. The City Council hereby finds,
determines, and declares that this ordinance is promulgated under
the police power of the City of Wheat Ridge; that it is
promulgated for the health, safety, and welfare of the public and
that this ordinance is necessary for the preservation of health
and safety for the protection of public convenience and welfare.
The City Council further determines that the ordinance bears a
rational relation to these objectives.

Section 5. This ordinance shall take effect 1 day after final
publication.
INTRODUCED, READ, AND ADOPTED on first reading by a vote of
6 to 2 on this 11th day of January
1993; ordered published in full in a newspaper of general
circulation in the City of Wheat Ridge and Public Hearing and
consideration on final passage set for Monday, February 8,
1993, at 7:30 o'clock p.m., at Council Chambers, 7500 West 29th
Avenue, Wheat Ridge, Colorado.
READ, ADOPTED AND ORDERED PUBLISHED on second and final reading
