~N ORDINANC~ ESTABLISHING T!IE SALARY FOR THE ELECTED POSITIONS
OF MAYOR, MEMBERS Of COUNCIL, CITY CLERK, AND CITY TRE~SURER,
OF THE CITY OF WHEAT RIUGE, DURING THE TERM OF OFFICE
C:OMMENCING NOVEf'lBER 8, 1993, AND ENDING NOVEMBER 13, 1995;
REPEALING ORDINANCE 881, SERIES OF 1'191, AND PROVIDING FOR AN
AUTOhArIC REPEAL AND TERMINATION OF THIS ORDINANCE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE C:I1Y OF WHEAT RIDGE,
COLOHADO, THAT:
Section 1.

Ordinance 881, Series ot 1991, previously enacted
of the City of ~~eat Rictge, Colorado, is ~ereby
Section 2. D'lring t~e term of elected office commencing
November 8, 1993, the following specified elected officials within the
City of Wheat Riige shall receive the annual 3a13ries specified herein,
payable in the monthly installments proviied herein:
A. The Mayor of t~e City of ~~eat Ri~ge shall receive an annual salary
of $9,240.00, payable in monthly installments of $770.00.
B. E8ch member of City Council ,hall receivp; an annual salary of
$3,960.00, payable in monthly installments of $330.00.
(. T~e rity Gler~ of the ~ity of Wheat Ri1ge shall receive an annual
salary of $26,400.00, payable in monthly installments of
$2,200.00.
D. The City Treasurer of the City of Wheat Ridge shall receive an
annual salary of $26,400.00, p3yable in monthly installments of
$2,200.00.
Section 3. This ordinance Shall be effective November S, 1993
and shall be automatically repealed and shall cease to be effective on
November 13, 1995.

Section 4. Severability. If any clause, sentence, paragraph,
or part of t~is ordinance or t~e application thereof to any person or
circumstances shall for any reason be adjudged by a court Qf competent
j'Jrisdiction invalid, sllch jJdgment shall not affect application to
other persons or circumstances.
Section 5. Safety Clause. The City Council hereby finds,
determines, and declares that this ordinance is promulgqted under t~e
general police power of t~e City of Wheat Ridge, t~at it is promulgated
for the health, sqfety, and welfare of the public, and that this
ordinance is necessary for t~e preservation of healt~ ani safety and for
the protection of public convenience and welfare. The City Council
further determines that the ordinance bears a rational relation to the
proper legislative object sought to be attained.
Section 6. This ordinance shall become effective November 8,
1993.
INTHODUC~D, READ, AND ADOPTED on first reading by a vote of

in full in a newspaper of general circulation in the City of Wheat Ridge
and Public Hearing and consideration on final passage set for Monday,
October 25, 1993, at 7:30 o'clock p.m., in Council Chambers, 7500 West
29t~ Avenue, Wheat Ridge, Colorado.
