RESOLUTION NO. 5/
Series of 1959
WHEREAS, the new City of Wheat Ridge is being organized
and will have personnel hired prior to establishment of a Safety
Program.
WHEREAS, an adequate safety program for city employees is
essential ~rom the beginning.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that a Citizen Safety
Committee be orJanized to provide safety policy guidance, the
committee to operate in accordance with the following:
1. Responsibili~. Review various city safety programs
and recommend to the City Council the adoption of the best portions
of programs reviewed.
2. Powers. Communicate with other metro area cities
and volunteer experts in the safety areas as required to give
Wheat Ridge leadership in this important area.
3. Support. The Director of Administrative Services
will provide clerical support as required lor the final report.
4. Organization. At its first meeting a chairman should
be elected and a plan developed for securing the end product.
5. Duration. Final report is to be made on or before
April 1, 1970.
5. The Report. As its final report, the committee will
present a complete safety manual to the City Council and recommend
its adoption. This report should includ~ special procedures for
park, police and street personnel, if required.
