Series of 1969 WHEREAS, that due to contingencies that could not have been reasonably forseen at the time of the adoption of the 1970 Budget by the City, the 1970 Budget, as adopted, does not accurately forecast the expenditure of money or the receipt of revenue by this City. WHEREAS, the contingencies arising are: a) The City Council had not contemplated a liquor occupational tax at the tax rate as now proposed. b) The franchise negotiated by the City Council with the Public Service Company of Colorado will bring in revenue in excess of that originally contemplated. c) The expected applications for rezoning of pro- perty and hearing of liquor and fermented malt beverage license applications within the City of Wheat Ridge and the fees to be collected will bring in excess revenue beyond that originially contemplated. d) The various departments of the City government require adjustments in their budgets based on the operating experience of the city government during 1969. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT the 1970 budget be amended as follows: a) That a contingency fund (accounting code 489) be increased from $30,000.00 to $87,250.00 and said increase of $57,250.00 be authrized for expenditure in the different department and budget categories as is indicated. kf'S ;;z;;r39 Coz-J . BE IT FURTHER RE50LVED THAT a certified copy of this Resolution be filed with the State Tax Commission and be published in full one time in the Arvada Citizen as required by law.
