RESOLUTION NO. ~
Series of 1970
In the interest of economy for the city of Wheat Ridge,
the City Treasurer recommends the Purchasing Policy of the City
be modified as follows:
(a) The Department Heads are to handle their own purchasing
after first securing a purchase order number from the Treasurer's
office.
(m) The Department Heads are to use the same purchase order
number for the same supplier for one entire month. (One Purchase
Order number fJr one supplier for one month.)
(c) Requisitions will not be turned into the Purchasing
Agent unless trle pruchase is for more than $250.00 and/or requires
bidding and/or council approval of purchase.
(d) Furch~se Df all capital assets will require a requisition.
(e) Receipts must be secured from supplier, signed by Depart-
ment Head and turned into Treasurer's offi~e on completion of pur-
chase.
(f) Purchases of incidental items (less than $5.00) may be
made out of th8 Treasurer's Petty Cash Fund.
This ~odified purchasing policy in no way relieves eadh
Department Heacl From the responsibility of procurement within
budgeted amounts.
