HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution-1970-0072 RESULUTION NO. 72. Series of 1970 WHEREAS, the passage of the Merit Ordinance establishes a permanent Personnel Committee. WHEREAS, the present members of the Personnel Committee have met 23 times for an average of nearly three hours each since being activated on November 24 and have screened and interviewed all applicants for City positions except Police, excluding Police Chief applicants. WHEREAS, this Committee, established under Resolution 21, Series of 1969, has prepared, evaluated and recommended programs relating to Insurance, pay, organization and functions, and Merit Rules. WHEREAS, this donated service has been invaluable to the City of Wheat Ridge. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT in behalf of the people of Wheat Ridge and this Council, this Committee as a whole and each individual, including Rocco Gioso - Chairman, Reverend John McElderrv - Vice Chairman, Bill Thornton, Harry Meerdink, ~nd Harry Smith be cited for their valuable contribution of time emu effort. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT this Committee be reorganized in terms of Ordinance 46 and recommend to this Council individual member preference for the one-year term, the two-year term, and the three-year terms. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT this Committee act under Ordinance 46 until such time as terms and appointments are confirmed by this City Council. DONE AND RESOLVED this, ,-' day of '_'d. --,-- --~ .'
