RESOLUTION NO. 130
Series of 1971
WHEREAS, it is determined necessary that Harlan
Street from 44th Avenue South, be improved to make it capable
of carrying the traffic which it receives, safely, and
WHEREAS, the Colorado Department of Highways, has funds
allocated for said improvement, and
WHEREAS, the State Department of Highways has planned
the improvement, and
WHEREAS, the City of Wheat Ridge, has funds available
for such improvement and acquisition of necessary rights-of-way,
and is required to permit widening of rights-of-way and improve-
ments of streets, and
WHEREAS, acquisition of private land will be required as
set forth in the plans and specifications of the Colorado Department
of Highways.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
1. That the Mayor of the City of Wheat Ridge, is authorized
to execute the agreement dated the 10th day of August ,1970,
with the Colorado Department of Highways for carrying out the said
improvements on Project T 7100 (27) 44th Avenue and Harlan Street.
2. That the Mayor of the City of Wheat Ridge, and the
City Attorney, are hereby authorized to have appraised, any property,
required to be acquired, negotiate for the purchase thereof, and
to appropriate bV right of eminent domain such property as cannot
otherwise be obtained.
