RESOLUTION NO. 229
Series of 1973
WHEREAS, the City of Wheat Ridge is eligible to receive
benefits in the form of roadway improvements pursuant to 23 U. S. C.
Section 135 of the Laws of the United States of America and the
regulations promulgated thereunder and Chapter 120, Article 13,
Section 1 (4), Colorado Revised Statutes 1963, as amended, called
"Traffic Operations Program to Increase Capacity and Safety",
hereinafter referred to as TOPICS; and
WHEREAS, the State of Colorado Department of Highways
administers the TOPICS program; and
WHEREAS, an agreement is required by and between the
State of Colorado and the City of Wheat Ridge concerning certain
responsibilities relating to said TOPICS Projects; and
WHEREAS, the State of Colorado has caused such an
agreement to be prepared to incorporate State and Federal require-
ments for all future TOPICS improvements;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor of the
City of Wheat Ridge is hereby authorized and directed to execute
two counterparts of said proposed Agreement on behalf of the City
of Wheat Ridge, Colorado, and to forward such counterparts to the
Colorado Department of Highways.
