WHEREAS the luheat Ri dge High S,hool IF8rrlerS" Footbgll
Team won the 1973 Color=do State Football Championship; 3nd
WHEREAS, the City of Wheat Ridge desires to recognize the
team 3nd its coaching staff for their outstanding athletic 3ccomplish-
ments; and
WHEREAS, this Team exemplifies the value of competitive
sports in developing the youth of our city as future community
leaders, and their actions hAve brought widespread recognition and
credit to the Jefferson County R-'j School District and to the City
of Wheat Ridge;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that W~eat Ridge High
School and its 1973 Colorado State Championship Football Team be,
8nd is hereby, commended for its outstanding success in its 1973
football se8son.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Jefferson County School
District be, and is hereby commended for its successful efforts in
developing outstanding youth athletic programs.
DONE AND RESOLVED this 14th day of March
